I'm a bass guitarist, double bassist and composer living in Glasgow. I perform regularly in a wide variety of styles from pop & rock to musical theatre and free improvisation. I also compose my own music, offer Bass Guitar Tuition from my home studio in Mt Florida, and work on a session basis with other Scottish-based artists.

I've been writing my own music since picking up the bass in my teens and studied Composition formally at the University of Glasgow. Over the years I’ve dabbled in lots of instruments including tuba, guitar, piano and voice. (As well as very short spells on the mandolin and drumkit!) I’ve developed an approach that balances intuition and raw musicality with a strong foundation in music theory and the more classical side of my musical upbringing, and as such I am comfortable contributing as a performer or arranger in a wide variety of musical styles.
